  1. My mum and I have just returned from a most lovely weekend in Grasmere. We stayed at the Chestnut villa and it was just perfect from beginning to end; the room, the views, the food and the whole atmosphere. We will look forward to returning.

  2. Stayed at Chestnut Villa for 3 nights. Rooms had everything to hand & very clean. The whole place had a cosy feel about it & decor was very stylish. Looked forward to breakfast in the mornings as it was excellent and catered for all. Great hosting & friendly owners. Will be staying again soon.

  3. My other half and I have just spent a peaceful and relaxing 4 nights at Chestnut Villa. Loved the views from our very comfortable room (no 1) and the cooked breakfasts were fantastic. Hope we will return again.

  4. We had a wonderful 2 night stay in Room 9. After amazing sleeps in the most comfortable bed ever, waking up to those spectacular views made for a peaceful and relaxing break. Breakfast was delicious, and it’s great that us vegetarians get a veggie sausage too, not all hotels/B&B’s do that. It’s these little touches that make it special. Host Mike was very friendly and welcoming, and the young lady who looked after us at breakfast was lovely. We’ll definitely come and stay again. Thank You.

  5. Had an overnight impromptu stay in the downstairs suite room, and can’t recommend the room or the b&b highly enough.
Attention to detail, decor, cleanliness and cosiness was excellent. Our stay was nicely finished off with a very tasty breakfast, and being treated by Michael like we were old friends rather than new guests.

We’ve stayed in the Lakes numerous times over the years, and rate our stay at the Chestnut as one of the best, and wish we’d found it sooner!
